Opening of the AC Robertson Athletic Track Upgrade

After launching the first day of the Writers and Readers Festival I attended the official opening of the AC Robertson Athletic Upgrade at Proclamation Park in Ringwood.
The upgrade of the athletics track, which included resurfacing and new line markings, complements the new grandstand and accessibility improvements at this premiere sporting facility. Today’s launch coincided with the beginning of the little athletics season and it was great to see the track being used by the community.
The Ringwood Athletic Club has had an extensive history within Ringwood and has launched the careers of a number of prominent athletes including Cathy Freeman, Jenny Orr and Kyle Vander-Kuyp. The new upgraded facilities at Proclamation Park and AC Robertson Athletic Club will ensure that athletics will continue to excel within Ringwood.
