Ringwood Cricket Club v Ringwood District Cricket Association Twenty20 Charity Match
Published by Alex Makin on Wednesday 4th of February, 2009
This evening the Ringwood Cricket Club (The Ringwood Rams) and the Ringwood District Cricket Association held its annual Twenty20 charity cricket match at Jubilee Park in Ringwood.
The annual charity match provides an opportunity for the two clubs on behalf of non-profit organisations within the eastern suburbs. This season the nominated organisation was Interchange Outer East, which is a community based program that provides support to families who have a child or a young person with a disability.
Interchange Outer East supports the Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges communities through providing respite, recreational and social programs for children and young adults with a disability and their families.
The charity match is one example of sporting clubs supporting the community and it was encouraging to see a number of local businesses sponsoring the evening. For further information on Interchange Outer East please visit www.ioe.org.au.
