2009 Ringwood Arts Society Artist of the Year and Maroondah Life Drawing Group Exhibitions
Published by Alex Makin on Thursday 7th of May, 2009
The Ringwood Arts Society is one of Victoria’s oldest and largest art based societies and holds a yearly exhibition to showcase the talent of its many members.
Tonight the Ringwood Arts Society, in conjunction with the Maroondah Life Drawing Group, launched their artist exhibitions displaying the variety of painting and drawing styles from the talented members within the two groups.
Each artist has to submit three paintings or drawings to enter the Ringwood Arts Society, Artist of the Year Award and the artist is assessed on each of their three submissions. While only one Artist of the Year is awarded, several other pieces were highly commended by the judge.
The exhibition will be on display until the 31st of May at Maroondah Art Gallery in the Maroondah Federation Estate in Greenwood Avenue, Ringwood.
