Maroondah Hospital, located at Mount Dandenong Road, Ringwood East, is a community based hospital that opened in 1976. The hospital has 320 beds and sees over 50,000 emergency patients per year.
This afternoon the hospital showcased the equipment that was purchased from the proceeds of its third Annual Charity Golf Day. This year’s golf day raised $56,000 and allowed the hospital to purchase new equipment to replace older technology, such as a nasal endoscope and a portable ventilator. Maroondah City Council is one of several sponsors of the Annual Golf Day.
Maroondah Hospital also organises an annual fun-run, which is now in its second year. The 4 or 8km walk/run will be held on Sunday the 26th of October. For details please visit www.easternhealth.org.au/funrun/funrun_Main.shtml.
