Media Release: Maroondah kids can give Golf a Go!

Attention kids aged 8 to 16! Get in fast and register for the Give Golf a Go! Open Day at Ringwood Golf Course on Sunday 26 October and you could learn to play like Tiger Woods!

Councillor Alex Makin said the Give Golf a Go! Day is a non-competitive, alternate shot, 9-hole golf event aimed to introduce boys and girls to the game of golf in a fun and friendly environment.

“The day will begin at 2pm with registration and a range of activities including golfing advice, putting competition, spot prizes, show bags and a BBQ,” said Cr Makin.

“Tee off will be at 3pm, providing a chance to put skills into action around the scenic Ringwood Golf Course,” said Cr Makin.

“This is the fifth year that Council has conducted this special day for juniors, and it continues to gain in popularity, so I would encourage you to get your booking in fast,” said Cr Makin.

All participants must register to avoid disappointment as there are limited places available. The cost is $5 per person.

“Entries received before Friday 17 October will go in the draw to win a fantastic Maxfli Golf Pack. Final entries close on Monday 20 October,” said Cr Makin.

Parents and family members are welcome to stay through the afternoon and watch the activities.
