First day as Mayor of the City Of Port Phillip and I presided over our largest Citizenship Ceremony to date, welcoming 252 new Australian citizens.

Joining me was Deputy Mayor Bryan Mears-Councillor, Cr Beti Jay and Cr Serge Thomann. Both Beti and Serge shared their own personal journey of migrating to Australia and community involvement by reading out the names of each attendee as we welcomed each and every attendee to the City of Port Phillip and their future lives in Australia.

Citizenship Ceremonies are one the most enjoyable occasions as a Councillor and as Mayor as new citizenships are welcomed to not only but also Port Melbourne.
