Tonight’s Council Meeting was relatively short with a few administrative elements, alongside the community consultation approach for the Multicultural Strategy.

Multicultural Strategy

Council’s multicultural strategy aims to build belonging across Council’s diverse communities, particularly in areas like Fisherman’s Bend and St Kilda Road which have a higher proportion of people born overseas, alongside established communities in areas like Balaclava and St Kilda.

Tonight’s endorsement of the strategy means that consultation will commence with communities with outcomes identified in the new year.
