Today I opened EnviroFest 2025 held in the redeveloped EcoCentre. a solar-powered, energy-positive community hub, which houses Australia’s first Citizen Science Lab.

EnviroFest features a range of sustainability events, building on the EcoCentre’s strong engagement over 12,500 people last year, including school sustainability leaders and citizen science projects tackling stormwater pollution.

The EcoCentre’s positive contribution has recognised recogntiion through the Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria Tidy Towns and Cities Sustainability Award in the Energy category – a testament the energy positive building and the construction process where 97% of old materials were reused.
