Victorian councils are coming together in unity to say clearly: hate has no place in our communities.

Today, along with Glen Eira Mayor Simone Zmood I met with Cr Will Nemesh, Mayor of Waverley to hand over Victoria’s Statement of Solidarity, signed by mayors across the state.

Standing against antisemitism is part of our shared commitment to care, respect and belonging. Inclusion and safety are non-negotiable — and by standing together, we continue to support one another and our community.

Our collaboration is just beginning; Simone and I will be meeting shortly to discuss next steps so local government stays committed to combating antisemitism.

I also attended the reading of the names organised by Rabbi Yoshi at Bondi Beach Pavillion.
