On the fourth Wednesday of the month Council holds a Planning Committee Meeting. These meetings differ from Ordinary Meetings of Council since they specifically focus on planning applications brought before the City of Port Phillip

The State Government has continually eroded local government’s ability to assess planning applications, which restricts Council’s ability to reflect community views within planning matters.

Tonight’s planning committee meeting included one application within part of Albert Park located within Montague Ward. The application was endorsed by Council subject with amendments.
