The Peter Bedford Cup, named after distinguished footballer and cricketer (and Port Melbourne local) Peter Bedford, consists of a series of games between the Port Melbourne Colts Junior Football Club and South Melbourne Football Club.

I attended today’s matches watching a fairly even contest between the two clubs – in end however, Port Melbourne edged ahead with a 5-4 win against South Melbourne.

The Cup was presented by Peter Bedford who discussed his sporting career with the players. Congratulations to the Port Melbourne Colts for their hosting a fantastic series of games at their home grounds at JL Murphy Reserve.
