The City of Port Phillip’s Neighbourhood Conversations incorporates pop-up sessions to encourage community engagement with the Council. Today, I attended two of these sessions, Port Melbourne in the morning and Montague in the afternoon.
Both sessions provided an opportunity to discuss Council’s waste management strategy, as well as the progression of new dog parks envisaged through the dog off-leash guidelines and master planning for the light rail linear park incorporating Cook, Fennell, Gill, Hester, Howe, Page, Smith, Turner and Walter Reserves.
The sessions also provide an opportunity to raise other topics with Council, with discussion ranging from docking facilities at Port Melbourne through to the need for additional community space and the shaping of Fishermans Bend.
Thank you to everyone that attended today’s sessions!
