Y(Our) Fest is a festival co-designed between Artists for Kids Culture (AKC) and young people focusing on creativity, inclusion, and community and is held at Sol Green Reserve in South Melbourne.

The festival connects young people and their families through free live music, arts and dance workshops, festival activities and food and is supported by the City of Port Phillip, the Palais Theatre, the Collie Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund.

I was invited to officially open the 2025 YourFest recognising the contributions of the young people, volunteers and organisations involved in co-designing and delivering today’s event. The blend of music, arts, dance and food provides festivities not only for young people and families but also for the wider community.

Since its inception YourFest continues to expand with events now scheduled for Geelong and Morwell, alongside South Melbourne.
