Dig In Community Gardens: April Working Bee

The Dig In Community Gardens located at part of JL Murphy Reserve holds monthly working bees encouraging its membership to maintain the gardens and tend to their individual garden plots.

I joined today’s session to see the gardens in action with a strong turnout of members throughout this morning.

One of my key priorities over the next twelve months is the delivery of a social and community infrastructure plan that will identify current community activities, as well as map potential future demand. Undertaking this essential community planning will better enable Council to identify our social and community requirements to strengthen inclusion as development progresses within Fishermans Bend.

Community gardens are only going to become increasingly important for our future communities.
