Following my attendance to the exhibition opening at the Romulus Folio, I joined my colleague Cr Beti Jay of South Melbourne Ward in attending the South East Melbourne Local Business Awards.

Tonight was a celebration of small business, across not just Port Phillip but throughout Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs. Several Port Phillip based small businesses were nominated by their customers and recognised throughout tonight’s awards.

Finalists included several businesses across Port Phillip with Handcrafted Pizza and Burger in St Kilda and CB Finance on Bay Street, Port Melbourne, announced as winners in their respective business categories.

There are too few opportunities for small business to come together and celebrate their successes, tonight’s awards provided a chance for business to network and share their stories. Congratulations to each of the finalised and to their loyal customers who submitted these businesses as nominees.
