Following the news of the mass shootings at Bondi Beach, I joined my counterpart, Mayor Simone Zmood of Glen Eira in a show of solidarity for Jewish communities.

I also attended a beautiful service held by Temple Beth Israel reminding us that the story of Chanukah is the story of light over darkness.
