Tonight I attended the Anniversary Dinner for Friends of Suai, reflecting on the earlier events including the anniversary launch and presentation of Order of Timor-Leste Medal to the City of Port Phillip.

The dinner featured several guest speakers covering the history of the Friendship, including the City of Port Phillip’s involvement through the donation of older computing equipment. The Director of the Cova Lima Community Centre reinforced the skills that have been developed and employment outcomes that have created through the 25 years of Friendship between Port Phillip and Timor-Leste.

Tonight’s dinner also helped raise funds for the Friends of Suai enabling them to continue supporting Cova Lima Community Centre and Timor-Leste.
